Train Museum

A few weeks ago we took Zeke to the train museum in Perris.
He was enthralled at being so close to the big trains.

 Riding on the train.
He is upset because the conductor did not yell "All Aboard." Luckily a little girl on the train did.
Checking out the tracks from the back of the train.

Watching the beautiful scenery of Perris, CA go by.
A display area of train crossing guards was by far Zeke's favorite park of the museum.  You can operate the guard by pressing a button.  Zeke loves the ones with flashing red lights.
He was having a good time - not that he'd let you know if from his facial expression.
Telling Daddy how knuckle couplers work.
A rusty old engine, just like in his favorite book (The Little Engine That Could)
 By the cow catcher!
Sitting with Mommy on some old train wheels.
A hay bale maze.  Zeke really liked this.  This is where he saw another little boy with a train toy & told us "That boy is going to share his train with me."  (like it or not implied!)

Cozy

Zeke found his favorite seat in the house.

Zeke likes Monster Trucks!

Isaac took Zeke to Angels Stadium to see Monster Jam.  Zeke really liked it - although I think he still likes demolition derby's better.

Zeke is Three!

Here is Zeke opening up some new books from Grandma and Grandpa.
Olivia is such helpful cousin - helping Zeke open his presents.

 A stomp rocket.
 New train!
Licking the frosting off of the cake candle.
Zeke was slow to blow out his candles - Olivia almost did it for him.
Zeke's chocolate cake with chocolate frosting & train decorations.
Zeke helped me make his cake - and lick the beaters and spatula.
The camera battery ran out before we could get any pictures of the homemade pinata.

Seattle Part 2, The Wedding

The chapel where Ted and Katie got married was on the Seattle Univeristy campus. Katie is an alumni.  This is where Ted and Katie usually go to church, Katie sings in the choir.  The building was designed by Richard Hull, one of my favorite Pacific Northwest architects -good pick Ted!
Ted and Katie surprised all their guests at the ceremony.  After they finished their vows Ted played the piano and Katie sang "I Believe in Love"

Some new friends and some old friends.

The old gang...out for Breakfast on Ted's big day.
 No stopping here Isaac!
The white building is Smith Tower - a way better deal for getting a look at the city then the Space Needle.
Here is the view from the 35th floor of Smith Tower.

The Space Needle is in the background between us.

We rode the ferry to Bainbridge Island.  There is nothing to see out there but the view of the city from the ferry was great.

 The chapel before the wedding.
This Chapel was designed by one of my favorite architects, it's beautiful.  (No cry room though, so I'm really glad we didn't have Zeke with us.)
 Ted and his bride, Katie.

 Showing off his new jewelry.
 Good looking people!
